SIAP: How do you program the Garage Door Opener?

Just got around to programing the garage door opener on the TDI SEL Passat and I can't find info on how to do it, can somebody inform me where to find it Please!

Not sure about 2012 passat but my 09 jsw instructions where in the manual.

I did mine (two separate garage door openers) in about 10 minutes. It's clearly explained in the manual. Just keep in mind that most door openers are rolling code so you will need BOTH the original remote and access to the programming button on the door opener motor.

Now just to defend the guy a little, just a little.

The manual is HUGE. Well organized and indexed, yet it can appear overwhelming.

I followed the procedure without issue with rolling and non rolling remotes and they all work great now.

To reiterate what everyone else said here: It's in the manual. However, I'm sure the OP doesn't know much about rolling coding and may have ran into some problems. How about we stop being such *******s and provide help if we can rather than belittling someone who's a new owner. Just a thought--the door swings both ways on that one.
