I am looking at a 2013 touareg tdi with only 86000 km. How much should I be paying for this suv. Full service records from dealer. Winter and summer rim with good rubber.
Filter was changed once. The dude says it's scheduled every 60. Bs i would say every 20 to 30000 yes?I'd make sure you know what you're looking at.
A 12 year old TDI with only 86k km on it, spent most of its life just sitting. This is now out of warranty, and "all maintenance records" basically means it's had a few oil changes done. It's probably still on its 2nd or 3rd fuel filter at most. If you're up to speed on what a CNRB is like to own\maintain, then go have a look at it in person and decide. The fact that it's 2.5hrs away from you is irrelevant. I drove around and looked at about a dozen different ones, all over Ontario, back in '18 when I bought mine.... none were local to me.
Actually I just was reading all that before you responded. I reached out to the owner for all the service records from the dealership. This is a private sale and more I learn the more I'm hesitate. Thanks for all your information. Appreciate youRear heated seats is NOT an option... it's part of the Exec package... as is kessy, sunroof, park sensors... the only "option" on a '13 Exec would've been the tow hitch.
Did you see where I asked what the maintenance schedule says?
Have you looked at the schedule? Does it say change your fuel filter every 60k?
Carfax is a joke.... ask for the full service records from the dealership who allegedly maintained it.
Read here.... I've supplied input to others asking similar questions... if you care
How do I pm uGet the VIN, call a dealer, tell them you're about to buy this.
Ask them to provide the full service history and build data of the vehicle... they may have to get the owner's blessing to give you that... so if he's not shady, he should comply.
Since it's a private sale, do not trust anything he says.... check everything yourself. Full VCDS scan prior to purchase is highly recommended. TDI Touaregs are complex, and a low mileage, neglected (service wise) specimen that's recently out of the dieselgate warranty is not something that you want unless you're intimately familiar with them, or have lots of disposable funds to spend on fixing\maintaining it.
I'm flattered, but you should know I'm marriedHow do I pm u
Lol no I just wanted to send a reply that I received after reaching out to the seller for the maintenance records.I'm flattered, but you should know I'm married![]()
All services are up to date. I think i have been pretty reasonable with all your requests up to now.Not be rude but I am not scanning all the service docs. for you when its more than likely you will not come and see the car or will ghost away like everyone else on FB market place.Lol no I just wanted to send a reply that I received after reaching out to the seller for the maintenance records.
I don't even know what PPI means. No I am not to lazy. It's only been since Friday that i started getting all this info from him. I do intend to look but would like to see those papers first. Dude is also asking 26500 for this.Ok, not sure what you'd like me to do about that response. You're too lazy to waste your time to go look at a potential unicorn, the seller is too lazy to scan 10 papers.... Did you want me to go PPI this thing for you?![]()
I am now lol. ThanksLMAO... Are you ok? Or how much cash is in the trunk?
PPI = Pre Purchase Inspection
Ya i know eh! he should be giving me the moon. I have seen all of these vehicles with 200k and they are asking 20k for them. There is actually one 2016 I believe for 33k. Stupid. He must of paid to much for it so now he is reachingIMHO, if dude is asking that kind of coin for it, he should be more than willing (realistically, he should've already had all documentation/evidence/disclosure of every service in full detail) to scan records. I'd want dates off the tires, evidence of brake fluid flushes every 2 years, and A LOT of info... If this was me looking at this vehicle for that price, I'd want paint measurements! This thing had better be in showroom condition with zero missed PM (we already know he's skimped on fuel filters). Go look at it and judge for yourself, but that thing sounds like a 18-20k vehicle at best, IF everything checks out.
Yes either that or my other interest 2023 toyota rav4 trail.I'd say go look at it with lowball cash in hand. If it's something that interests you , pull out your 18k or whatever it's worth to you and see if he bites at it. In my opinion, you hold the bargaining chips. He's already confirmed that he's not getting serious interest. (Due to unrealistic expectation)
