Well, to be honest, when you both merged onto 280, you both were smoking quite a bit. I would call it a tie in this after lunch smoking "contest"... /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Peter,
Glad to know that I was smoking, I thought I might have been in the last week more than before for some reason. I wasn't going full throttle but it was still 90mph, I was behind some other guy so I couldn't go full, I was just trying to see what the pickup was like at that speed. I reckon I could have done the ton (100) if my exit hadn't come up but howsever... /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Ok, for this coming Friday, we have two choices, either the Burger King Mackwood suggested in San Carlos, or the In/Out burger place in Mountain View located at 1159 N. Rengstorff Ave. Both places are just off of highway 101.

Which do people prefer?

I don't think I can make either lunch this week because I will be working in the Northbay for the foreseeable future. Anyone want to meet for lunch in Sonoma/San Rafael?

SFBA guys, I am itching to get started. How much smoke with 205's and RC stage 2! I tihnk i ma going this way just in case some warranty issues come up I don't want the dealer to see 216's under the hood! Feedback is greatly appreciated! As for lunch I am open for either location, especially if the North Bay location is out on the coast and we get a little scenic drive!

Andrew, the 205 look almost like the stockers you have, but the dot on them is different color, so if a dealer is concern, you better go with your own injectors (bodies) and get nozzles. Jason has the Sprint520 + RC2 combo, you should ask him to take it for a spin...... From all the combos I have ever seen through GTGs, his is the best one when it comes to power-to-smoke ratio!

Wooooo! You finally found you password! LOL /images/graemlins/laugh.gif That was a great drive on Sunday! Beside In_N_Out, we should do breakfast at 35 and 84 on Sunday mornings, then go for a drive. Shall we try! Norman, nice meeting you too /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I can't guarantee Fri @ InO, but, I'll try and make it.

Yeah, that was a really nice, relaxed, drive back to the 'Gap and down 9 to the house. Alice's was better than I thought it would be. Maybe next time I'll ride my bike up to Alice's and back. Whaddya say, Andrew? /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Hi, All,

Thanks to "DLAI" to putting me onto the SFBA region. Am moving to
Monterey area in mid-April and am looking for birds-of-a-feather
regarding TDI's. Have a 2002 NB, 5-speed with Upsolute and PP520's.
Just had the nozzles done Monday; concerned about smoke level,
so had Greg set IQ to ~ 5-6...big mistake. Though, it's not too cold,
say 40ish, have to crank and crank to get it to turnover. Once warm,
not a problem. So, Greg is doing TB tomorrow, Thursday, and will
have him "dial" it back. When people mentioned smoke with
the bigger nozzles, I assumed smoke like from my late '85 Golf (IDI) -
as in lying down a smoke screen. Geez, not anywhere near that!

Looking forward to getting settled in.

Cheers,

Lon Manning

Peter, Power was good, I wasn't used to the short shift but I can see that it makes a difference when adding mods, quicker acceleration overall. I think that I am going to have to invest in an (anti)stress bar, Dan, we'll have to talk about that soon...good day overall. I'm still indecisive on installing a short shift kit though.. /images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Peter,
do you have a short shift on your car? If so, can I take it for a spin during the dyno day and check it out?
