Got a service campaign letter from audi this weekend. Something to do with emissions software and emissions. Anyone know exactly what the issue is? Had my flap replaced under warranty already, that being the only emissions CEL this car has had so far.

I had the software updated today and don't feel any difference. Maybe I will when the car is cold?

Got this in the mail and debating whether to bother with it. I do my own maintenance so the dealer hasn't seen my car since I took delivery so there won't really be a convenient time to get this done.
Same here. Only times they've seen my car were warranty issues and the free 5000 mile oil change.

If you live in CA you should get this done. Audi is blocking my registration until they see the car. Has to do with emissions. My car is not up for smog for another year but they have stopped CA from sending my new tags until they see it.

What sucks even more, I just called the dealer where I bought the car, they say they need the car for at least half a day and won't give me a loaner for "just a software update" as in they aren't getting hundreds of dollars from me for service they may not even be doing correctly.
If this is blocking my registration I have until ~June to figure this out.

I just discovered this open service campaign 23N4 via running my VIN at AudiUSA.com. Came here to see what it was. On the website it says " software has been improved to assure your vehicle's tailpipe emissions are optimized and operating efficiently. I live in LA, do my own maintenance also and had a smog check done in March so... guess I will be good until the 'defeat debacle' forces me back into the dealer... Darn, I love the torque and the fuel economy.

Audi doesn't block registrations. The state of California does. Your registration is being blocked by the state. The automaker and dealer has no such power.
I had my car smoged last month, sent in my registration renewal & received my sticker. Did you do any mods?
