I have decide to sell my 96 Passat TDI sedan 5 spd. The car has 132k miles on it. I had the timing belt and front brakes done recently, and is inspected in PA until 8/17.
I am letting this car go due to having a second child soon and having too many vehicles at the moment. I got the car a year ago, it had about 116k. I had the A/C compressor replaced at that time.
The car came out of New Jersey, and was serviced at the dealer from new until it was traded and I got it (my cousin worked at the dealer). The car runs great, body is good, not rot or rust. Car has some scratches and dings that will come with a 20 year old car. Seats are not torn or broken. Power windows work, sometimes the passenger front window will not work but after 5-10 minutes will start working again. Power locks, and cruise control work.
I relined the headliner, removed the passenger airbag and replaced with a glove box from a B3 car. Replaced the harmonic balancer and serpentine belt tensioner. I also taped up the blend doors.
I have used Rotella synthetic 5w-40 since I have had the car.
This is a great little car and I hope someone can put many more miles on it. Asking $3000. Car is located in Morgantown PA
