Secret DRL turn-off

I used that top-secret method to turn off my DRLs and it worked for days if not weeks. I rarely ever use my parking brake but I noticed that during the day, lights off, engine running when I engaged my parking brake the DRLs came back on. Haven't really looked at it too hard since but I reset the lights to off and haven't noticed it but it's possible with 2 cars that I haven't driven it since then.
