Add two more to the mix! I'll be there (it's practically in my backyard so I've really got no excuse
). My wife wants to come in her Golf, but it's a 2.slow and I advised her it would be subject to group acceptance
.

It will be great to see Fred again. I would like to personally thank him for his outstanding management of this board by locking numerous recent threads which were getting totally out of hand. Anyone desiring political debate should do so on a political board, we are automotive enthusiasts. This should transcend political ideology.

Has everyone been following the four biodiesel bills in legislature currently? Please check this thread out... http://forums.biodieselnow.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=542 and for goodness sakes contact your representatives and let them know you support these bills. contact info for legislature (scroll down a li'l)

These four bills are the next step to bringing biodiesel production to WASHINGTON STATE. The more support we can show the more biodiesel can be an affordable reality in our state.

Sorry to bold up the board but I'm sure there are some that are totally unaware of these bills. Now's not the time to say "but what does one voice matter?" (See link in my sig)

See everyone Sunday

a bit late in posting this, but for those us joining Fred for the cruise from Canada, there'll be a Cenex station close to the Krispy Kreme, in case anyone needs a splash of diesel on the way down to Seattle.

Just past 65th on Phinney where there's a Y in the road..take a right...there's signs to lead you to it. Sits about a block of phinney to the right if heading north. Of course, it's probably over by now. But, check out the pubs.

Sorry that you missed it godlike. We had put up signs, did you not see them? It was slightly off of Phinney (half a block), but in the Phinney Ridge community center as described.

The event went really well. About 175 people showed up and there were at least 50 TDIs display. Mostly A4 Golfs and Jettas, but there were also some A3 Jettas, and couple of B4 Passats (including one wagon), a VW Transporter with the 2.4L NA diesel engine, a few Mercedes, a few Rabbits, a Hummer and some other trucks. The forum itself was packed and there was standing room only during the talks. There was a nice demo of making a small batch of biodiesel and Drivbiwire demonstrated timing adjustment on my A3 Jetta and talked about the differences between the A3 and A4 engines to a small group and talked about the benefits of running biodiesel to the entire forum. Dr Dan was there and sold almost 200 gallons of fuel (more than he brought...some people had to go back to his shop).

Others took better pictures than myself (I was mostly paying attention and not photographing), but a couple that I took are online at http://www.phred.org/~alex/pictures/biodiesel-forum

It was a HUGE GTG
Did anyone count the people or TDIs? There must have been over 50 cars (including a 2.4 liter TDI Transporter) and 100 people easy. Thank you to the organizers!

P.S. Godlike, the community center is on the right side of the road going north right before Starbucks and the Red Mill Burger (a few blocks north of the Zoo). The parking lot is not visible from Phinney
Sorry to have missed you.

It was my first time at one of these GTG...so I was a little curious to how it ranked in number of attendees. Well, it sounds like it was a good showing. Thanks folks!

Sorry, I didn't count the cars. I just made a guess and factored in guesses from other people talking afterwords.

40-50 cars would probably be a reasonable estimate...50+ was probably too high. The parking area was certainly full.

The Diesel parking lot was full and at various times there were also a bunch of TDIs and other Diesels in the other parking lot . . . Whatever the actual number, it was very impressive to see all those TDIs together

I got home at 7pm (and live 10 minutes away). About 12 of us went to 74th Street Ale House for a few beers and bs'ing after everything wound down at the gtg.

A big thanks to the organizers of this fantastic gtg, and to Heinz and Nancy for their hospitality. PNWers definitely know how to show visitors a good time!
