For those of you chose EFT, when do you receive information about setting it up? I have a confirmed appointment but have not received any information about EFT.

Buyback appointment set for Wednesday, Dec. 7 (Pearl Harbor day, hope that's not a sign). Offer acceptance documents 1st attempt upload day was 11/09/2016 Re-upload day was 11/12/2016 (be sure to upload all 7 pages, or you will be re-uploading). 2 day turnaround (not too bad)

I got 12/14 myself. Which suits me just fine because I won't have to renew the registration on the car, and it is unlikely that I will have to dig it out from any snow. My only concern between now and then is that a squirrel chews through the wiring. I was going to get some mothballs and leave them under the hood just to try and dissuade the little effers (they are leaving nut shells on top of the battery box - as long as all they are doing is going in there to eat nuts, I guess I don't care that much, but I don't want to take a chance).

I got my letter at 8AM this morning. Had the notarized docs uploaded by 11:30 or so. Got the notification that this was accepted about an hour ago, and it then let me schedule.

Finally got the docs approved email today as well. I'm glad that something's moving along. I almost called in today but had a sick kiddo at home.

Getting very close now.
- Docs submitted 10/12
- Docs accepted 11/1
- Offer letter 11/14
- Offer accepted 11/15

Now I'm trying to Book the buyback appointment on the portal. The website was spinning for 10-15 minutes after I entered my odometer reading and selected a dealer. It timed out and then when I try again, the Book Appointment button does not work. I tried this for the two dealers that are local to me with the same response. Either the website is having problems or these dealers are not yet able to take appointments. I called the phone number for VW Claims and they are not yet open.

Getting so close!

Woohoo!

My buyback appointment is all set for the afternoon 11/29. I selected EFT but have not been asked for any of my banking info yet.

I had similar problems. I was using Firefox and couldn't get the thing to work. I switched to IE, and was able to book the appt.

After I cleared out my Chrome browsing history, I was able to schedule the buyback appointment. There were some options in late November into early December, but I went with December 13th based on convenience and travel plans I have in the coming weeks.

Docs uploaded 10-15
Accepted 11-5
Waiting on offer.
Is it sent U.S. mail or email?
Can future posts leave their dates of submission and acceptance, appt for buyback so others like myself have a good idea of what to expect.
Thanks

Email. There will be a document you download from the portal. You print it, take it to a notary to have them watch you sign it. Then scan all 7 pages and upload again to the portal. You can fax or mail it in, but that seems to be far slower.

If you want to see other people's dates for submission/acceptance, take a look at the spreadsheet.

Once you get an offer letter, things seem to move quickly. Mine came at 8AM yesterday morning - I had my appointment booked for the turn-in by the end of the day.

2013 A3, clear title. Sent everything in on 11/01/2016. Got offer letter 11/14/2016 and sent it back the same day. Approved over night (11/15/2016). Scheduled appointment same day.
My wife wasn't available for the first turn in day, December 1, so we went out a week. As noted there is only one turn in day a week.

One day a week PER DEALER is my experience. In central Indiana, my first choice was only Wednesday. The second one I looked at was only Thursday. Found one with Saturday appts about 50 miles away.

Thanks to everyone for the does and don'ts on offer paperwork. I submitted mine yesterday and they were accepted on the first shot this morning. Scheduled my trade in on the first available appointment 1/06/2017 11:30 AM. Searched several area dealers and this was the earliest they all had. Feel much better being out of limbo finally! Good luck to all the people still waiting!

None yet - possibly JSW in 2009

The first I saw was only every Friday, first appt not until January. Crap - that misses the year-end sales to replace it. Another dealer was twice a week, with an appt available in mid December. That was the earliest I found after checking a couple of other dealers so I booked it. I'm not sure whether the appointment availability is a VW thing or a dealer thing, but it's definitely worth looking around for an appointment that suits you.

Uploaded docs last night after dinner and was approved this morning. Buyback appointment is Tuesday, Dec 6th @ 10:30AM. My local dealer only had appointment slots at 10:30 and 11:30 on Tuesday's in December and January.

I don't remember where I posted this before but was told while calling into VW that right now each dealership is doing one day a week and 4 slots per day. At some point they will up this to three days a week, but they are not sure when that will happen

I don't know when to schedule my buyback appointment. The earliest my local dealership is early December and on, Fridays ONLY. Other dealerships in the area within 50 mile radius vary Tues - Fri. As the dealership that is the most far is doing Tuesday Buybacks.

I won't have a better window of choosing a buyback date until I go into a Subaru dealership to put in a factory order deposit. It would be nice that VW would offer Monday buybacks as that allows adequate time for an EFT to kick in quickly than having to do a buyback at the end of the week.

This is very hard to choose a buyback date when I would be waiting for my factory order Subie to come in and choosing a buyback turn in to recieve funds in a timely manner to purchase the new Subie. The EFT actually sucks waiting 3 business days for it to kick in.

Once the buyback turn-in is complete, then that leaves the option of a rental car a few days or get on the motorcycle without heated grips in the coming days of a brutal winter of January as I see my buyback will happen at the earliest.

my first and only appointment date was Dec 10th or 11th. Saturday or Sunday. Does that seem right to you guys? Dealers aren't even allowed to be open on Sunday in NJ.

Thanks very much for the spreadsheet!
Could you add two more scatter charts for the people that have had their buy back and owned their car and another one for the people that financed?

Never mind only people that have paid off their loans have a buy back date.
