Sam Adams Tour

I'm planning on going on a tour of the brewery @ 2 on Friday. There aren't any othere times that dont conflict with the rest of the 'fest. I hope there are others who would like to see this great brewery. Lets get a list of people and plan a meeting time.

saturday evening/afternoon is being set aside for boston tours. This might also be an appropriate time - see the revised schedule.

also, one of these tours is a tour of the harpoon brewery and a stop at the tea party ship.

OK, good to know. I want to make sure I get to visit the brewery, and fri&sat is the only day available. Are you sure there will be time? Is there a list of more things that are being scheduled?? Its hard to set anything up unless we know what else you're planning.
The last tour is @2. What time is the road rally. Maybe I should just plan on going so I can go ahead and get it done. I would be really sad if i missed this chance. Thanks

Well, we'll miss the Sam Adams tour since it will take the better part of Friday to get to Braintree. However, we are looking to pick up something we can't get at home.

Any tips on where this yummy liquid is available near the Fest site would be appreciated. Looking to pick up 48 bottles to take home.

I am in for the Sam Adams tour friday at 2pm. I'll be in CT the night before so Boston by 2pm is easy! If the Bentley open house is 3-7 we might be able to make it there too? If not I'd be happy staying at the brewery to help with "quality control"

we're going to be tweaking the saturday schedule a bit to fit everything in properly. no worries.

but don't imbibe too much on the tour, to be on the safe side.

Here is where people gather and drool in Pavlovian anticipation!

I took a ride here on Monday to get some tour info. I spoke with Jennifer and the following day with Brian. I'll tell you these people are very nice and the business very generous. There is a suggested donation of $5-$10 to take the tour and all proceeds go to charities

! Boston Beer Company (the brewers of Sam Adams) wiil also be providing the bags we'll use to contain the assorted stuff you'll be receiving when you arrive in Braintree and check in.
Here is the deal, if you would like to go on Friday that is fine, tours are at 2:00pm and 5:30pm. You are on your own. I would like for us all to go as a group on Saturday. The Saturday tours are at 12:00, 1:00, and 2:00. The 2:00 is the only one that does not conflict with the F1 event(11:00am-1:30pm). It will be a little tight but we are going to head over there directly after F1. Parking is available but limited. Car-pooling is suggested.
I would like a head count so that I can let them know. I have guesstimated at 25 people, much more than that and I'll need to tell them. Saturday's 2:00 is the busiest so pm me or post with the number in your party.

Presently the window is 2:00 on. We can do it when we return. The course is near the hotel so multiple runs are possible.

Looking forward to the Fest, it seems that all the New England area GTG's involve beer

I was at Jonathan Bartlett's GTG in Oct 2001 and we also visited a Brewery. Had a great time

we new englanders love our beer and our brewery tours. and you're right... i haven't been to a gtg that DIDN'T involve beer in some way. it's no coincidence that the hotel is right across the street from a terrific brewpub, ya know...
