Safety Recall 23J9/V5

hey guys good morning, i just got a letter in the mail for a recall of 09-12 jetta/ jetta wagon stating: 2.0 tdi common rail diesel engine/clean diesel engine fuel lnjection lines, then under the What is The Problem? it says Certain fuel injection pulses during catalyst and particle filter regeneration could coincide with the natural frequency of the #2 fuel injector line during specific engine load and RPM conditions.

ok now ive had my car for almost a year come the 17th of this month and ive never had a problem with the car (engine wise) thank god, is anyone else getting this recall? should i go get it checked ?

LOL, yep we have been talking about this on the forums for a while now.......

had the dampeners put on a couple of day ago, im skeptical as to how effective they will be. also had the dsg flash done, not much difference that i can tell but im still fooling around with the D,S,and TIP settings. has any body else noticed a difference and if so what did you find p.s. i did notice that the tranny engages less smoothy from N to D or S

I had the recall done on mine, there were certain periods of manufacture where the supplier provided faulty #2 injector lines with flaws in them. If yours is one of those you get the new #2 line and the dampers, otherwise you just get the dampers which takes 10 minutes to install.

I would get it done since its free and fast, you could also ask if there are any other TSBs outstanding that might benefit your car.

Got my letter the other day for replacement of line and dampers. I had checked the recall on the VOA site with VIN# and it was not listed

Just a friendly reminder - and since it seems time is of the essence, just doing a quick Google search (or search engine of your choice) or using the sarch function on this forum of 23J9 would yield a lot of results and take less time than signing on and posting, and then waiting a few hours and signing back on for answers.

Just putting it out there.
