It is actually diesel rated. "CF" is an obsolete diesel API rating.

Most European 5w40 gasoline engine oils may actually meet an obsolete diesel spec like "CF" but they are not designed to handle diesel combustion byproducts or ideal in a diesel application.

hmm, I zoomed in and read the back of the bottle and didn't see any CF rating on it. All the markings look like it's 'gasoline' engine rated only. That said, I tend to miss things.
edit: Yup, it's there, tiny but there.
