Ordered a micro-can for the wagon. Couldnt find anyone within 100 miles that was willing to disable my DRL's (aftermarket HID install) so I had to pony up the $250.

What else of value (besides priming the DPF) can be done with this thing? Is there a master list somewhere? I heard somethign about a coming home feature?

Id like to get more than a DRL disable and fuel pump prime for my $250.

You meant priming the fuel system (HPFP) not Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF)?

There are many small comfort and convenience settings you can tweak. Horn beep or not when locking, as a minor example.

The major benefit is being able to track system performance with logs, graphs and spreadsheets. This is a huge help when troubleshooting your car.

If you can make a GTG or two, you can learn a lot about the VCDS system use.

If you do not learn to use it, you would have been better off making the two hundred mile round trip. Just dig in and start.

I would stay in 'measuring blocks" for a while, exploring the indications and tools available.

In this link, when it refers to cycling IGN a couple times, one should cycle the ignition without starting the car correct?

It doesn't work on the 2012's, I tried it.

Are you kidding? I live by my VCDS - I don't think I will ever own a non-VW product again solely due to that tool. It can get at ALL the information you need to make an educated diagnosis vs. replacing parts willy nilly on guessing blindly.

-open/close power windows with keyfob remote
-hazards come on if ABS kicks in

is that only for OEM highline CCEM fogs or does this also apply to ghetto aftermarket fogs with simple relay and trigger wire?

Adjust MFD MPG to read more accurately.

Adjusting speedometer to read more accurately.

Change TPMS system to use abs sensors instead of valve stems (pre 2011).
