Best Wishes to those attending the Fest. I unfortunately will not be able to attend. The organizers sure have a great event planned. Post pictures often, so those of us who can not make it, will really wish we could have.

A small group of us will toast to your success during this weekend. Fred be sure and get next year signed up, for those of us who will try to make it next year.

well... Ripster... how's your odometer doing? does it need a good healthy drive to Boston to keep ahead of mine?

You'll be missed... and so will all yall who can't make it - this'll be one heck of a grand party it sounds like.

The organizers appear (from here at least) to be carring the torch well...

I can't believe traitor 'poet has done such a great job. Will he come back from the dark side and get a tdi someday?

GeWilli, 220,000 and still going strong, have to do a timing belt asap. Still original starter and alternater.
With Scott's wedding in a couple of weeks, just too much going on this year. I am sure Michigan will be well represented.

The Passat has 6 coats of Zaino at this point and is just beginning to look presentable
and the Hamsters car looks even better!!
I think the Mighigan folks ought to do it again next year!!

Boy I don't know Tomo, we might need a relaxing time, kind of like the PT Cruisers do, a weekend event, schedule boat rides, picnics, a show and shine event, the rest of the time are cruises and local events, Cruiser people are more into hanging out and looking at the cars. It looks like your weekend will have some fun events, wish we could be there.

Hmmmm

well? I don't think it would be so bad to do a laid back cruisin type of event here....

we've got a good support network
and we've done it once before on the fest scale and then there's the big Hondo gathering...

sooo who else is gonna put together a proposal?

(it isn't too early to start thinking)

I'm really gonna miss out on a good one this year.

Have fun everyone and take lots of pics so we can enjoy some of those moments with you guys! Too bad we can't get streaming video of some of the event!

it's really not. jonathan and i started thinking about holding a fest in this area two years ago, but weren't really prepared and missed the boat when it came time to do the proposals. the idea then came back up at the meet and greet last year, and while at the fest we collected a few collaborators and got things rolling.
