Road trip, Missouri to upstate New York and back.

The shop foreman at work is getting married this weekend, and we'll be traveling up. Leaving and going to stop in Buffalo to see niagara falls, then to the finger lakes area for the wedding. After that we'll head to Maryland to visit friends, and then on the way back, I want to hit the tail of the dragon in Tennessee/North Carolina, and visit my wife's aunt in western Tennessee before heading back. I think it'll be a lot of fun, but also a big challenge, especially traveling with a toddler...
I'll be driving my new blue b5.5 passat wagon, if you see me, wave!

That's good to know! Hopefully I won't need any! The last trip I took, the tcm went out on my passat while I was on the outer banks, I couldn't find anybody with vag-com out there, and I had neglected to follow my gut feel that I should grab mine... This time I'll have it with me.

I've made it all the way out. Currently in Laurel Maryland. The Passat has been running great and so far has been getting 38-40 mpg, which is pretty good, especially compared to my other Passat. Stopped in at niagara falls on the way, then came down through mountains in eastern Pennsylvania.

I conquered the tail of the dragon! The Passat wagon did a great job and is still getting 39 mpg, even with city and mountain driving! Yay passat! I'll have more photos later, including hopefully some from killboy.com

I didn't know if the tail of the dragon was going to be as exciting as it was hyped up to be, since we have a lot of curvy roads around here and sometimes people from flatlands think a curve is a big deal... It was what is hyped to be though. My wife drove for part of it and complained that the speed limit was too slow and it would be a lot more fun at even higher speeds... I didn't want to get a ticket though, so we kept the speed down.

Shouldn't be any daylight under the tires... I kept it to the speed limit.
