Well I'm glad others are seeing some action. i sent my paperwork in on 9/29/2016 USPS Certified mail return receipt. Priority. i have not heard a thing. Checked the portal and is still shows that my claim is awaiting my mailing of the documents. Frankly I' a little P.O.ed!!! What is the big problem reviewing 4 documents that they requested. Frankly i believe that they are dragging their feet deliberately !! Spoke to someone the other day who said his was already done. Of course he purchased another VW. Took care of him right away. VW better get off their duffs and get the job done. !! or maybe the federal judge need to know what is going on. !! and what is with this determining if you are eligible . They just confirmed your paperwork . !! All Bull Honkey to me !!!!

The instructions clearly stated or eluded to the fact that if you want fast service, you would upload your documents on the portal site, not use snail mail. We were all warned.

E-mail from VW this morning.

We have reviewed the documents you submitted as part of your claim with reference number xxxxxxx. Currently, your application contains all of the necessary documentation to determine your eligibility. We are now determining your eligibility and will inform you whether you are eligible to participate in the VW/Audi Diesel Emissions Settlement Program after the Settlement Program becomes effective.

Sorry but It didn't go live 9/17
Actually........... You are wrong.

You could NOT upload your documents until late in the day on 9/16/2016. According to my records I scanned and uploaded mine on Sept. 16, 2016. It appears many others did not become aware of this ability until the following morning (9-17), but bottom line is your assertion that you submitted yours in August is just plain incorrect.

I have no lien and uploaded 9/17.

I got this today:

We have reviewed the documents you submitted as part of your claim with reference number xxxxxxx. Currently, your document package does not include all of the information that is necessary to determine whether you are eligible to participate in the VW/Audi Diesel Emissions Settlement Program.

Please click here to visit the Online Claims Portal where you will find information about what additional documents and/or information are required and instructions on what steps you should take to complete your document package.

As a reminder, if you choose to submit additional documents by mail or fax, please ensure that your reference number is visible on the top of each document. Your reference number is xxxxxxxx.
So I go to the portal and it is not the documents that are incomplete, but the fact that I don't have a co-registrant on the portal and my registration and title front have both my name and the wife's name.

It tells me to go to ACCOUNT in the portal and add a co-registrant or upload new docs that only show one name.

So I go to the ACCOUNT under portal and there is NO WHERE to add a co-registrant that I can find. And I don't remember being offered the opportunity when I initially registered at the end of July either (I did it from my phone in case and not a computer so if it was offered in the full browser experience version, I don't remember it in the phone version).

I tried to call the 844 number (844 98-CLAIM) and it just gives a fast busy signal...

ARGGHH

ETA: finally got "through" by phone and am in their queue to get a call back on how to add a co-registrant name to the claims portal for my "account"

The only email from VW that I have gotten in the past few days has to do with a sale on tires .

I am wondering if it is state by state and they haven't touched Virginia or they are doing it by Dealership. I picked Stohlman how about you

Stohlman for me as well. I can almost walk to them..

It could be alphabetic by last name - that would put me near the end of the first bunch.

Didn't your vehicle title have a signature from VW on the release of the loan?

I would be at the bottom with W!!!! I figured Stohlman would be a good choice with the Metro Station and I generally trust them and think they are organized and well run!

You're right that the presentations of the portal on a desktop and on mobile devices are somewhat different. Did mine on a desktop and when I indicated that were two names on the registration and title, I was prompted to enter the other name and then to upload the other drivers license as well. I assume that you did not upload the other DL, and if that is true, that is why your package is incomplete.

Changes to the portal are locked until the judge OK's it. We are trying to switch from fix to buyback and were told that they will unlock the accounts after the 18th, looks more like 1 week today or sooner!

Me, too. I need to add a co-registrant. I couldn't find a way to send the co-registrant driver ID (wife). I just submitted the forms again, with the exception of the vehicle title back page. They indicated this form was good.

On the desktop version, it was quite straightforward. Asked for the co-registrant's name and then requested the DL be uploaded. Worked fine. But like 95% of us, mine are still in review.

It looks like it will allow me to upload new docs, but there is no place to add a co-registrant in the "Account" as the email instructed. It is not a new doc I need to upload, but a change to the actual registration. Uploading docs is not locked it appears.

But I assume the clock doesn't start until the settlement is final. And 10 business days from next Tuesday is 8 Nov. Election Day. That's rather amusing and of course, that is probably not a business day either.

I clicked that there more than one owner when I answered the questions and uploaded the docs. It never asked for any info on the co-registrant but I DID upload both the wife's ID and my ID in the same scan so they have both the IDs. They just don't have her down as a co-registrant in the portal account info.

Don't think you can correct this on line. Even for my dual owned car, the account page only shows my name. This portal was built quickly and apparently did not go through 'GI proof' testing before being released. I spent years in software development for DoD, and when we thought we had a version ready to go, we'd have a bunch of soldiers play with it. They would stumble on glitches that the developer wouldn't see in years.

I agree. I've been in SW Dev for 30 years myself and still actively am.

What is interesting though us the portal explicitly says to add the co-registrant on the portal. From the "error" listed under one of the two documents (same text for both) that show the two names.

Resolution: Since the Settlement is provided to registered owner(s) of the vehicle, we need both registered owners listed in the Claims Portal.

If you currently are the sole registered owner, please provide a new document that matches only the Registered Owner Name provided in the Claims Portal.

If you need to add an additional registered owner to the Claims Portal, you can add the additional registered owner under the Co-Registrant Name field in the portal by clicking on the ACCOUNT button at the top of this screen.
I have a call into the CLAIMs line and am awaiting a callback to ask how to do it.

I am having issues with my documents too due to the co registrant thing with my wife, what a mess, I need the blank documents to produce new ones, and I'm currently on hold with the claims line, but it's saying over 2 hour wait, how are you guys opting for them to call you back? This is maddening.

I see no way to add co registrants and no way to download the blank documents to redo them.
