I replaced the battery with an Interstate H6, 70/760.
Since then, the car is throwing codes every time I start it up. The pertinent codes are:
I've disconnected and reconnected the battery, insured the terminal connections are tight and clean.
The car starts and runs fine, despite the codes. And, as stated above, once cleared, the engine light stays off and no codes are thrown for the rest of the drive.
I'm using an ODBEleven scanner with presumably pro level turned on - I don't see a way to register the battery. I'm in discussion with customer support to see why I don't have that (their latest reply was the car doesn't support adaptations, which I don't believe is correct.)
I think the P13XXX codes will go away once the running battery and reference voltage items are corrected.
Do I have a bad battery? Incorrect battery? (according to the Interstate site, this is the correct battery)
Any thoughts appreciated.

Update: Talked to VW Dealer. Suggested alternator might be bad.
Update 2: Checked voltages: Battery 12.58 car off - while running (idle), 13.14. Doesn't seem like bad alternator.

- 01598 - Drive Battery Voltage (static)
- P06A3 - Sensor reference Voltage "D" Circuit/Open (intermittent)
- P13D5,P13D4,P13D6 - Sensor for internal pressure of cylinder (Implausible signal, short circuit to ground, electrical error...)
I've disconnected and reconnected the battery, insured the terminal connections are tight and clean.
