remove hood-release panel

i ran a search with no results, i need to remove the drivers side kick panel with the dead pedal.


how is it attached? any pictures?

Your sign says B5 Passat, but this is the NCS section.

Which is it?

In either case, the hood release handle has to come off first, then the trim panel pops loose.

The forward edge of the sill plate trim will have to come loose first, and pulled up high enough to allow clearance.

ok, fixed the car info, passat is gone, jetta it is.

You will not find a screw, the handle pops off. They can be difficult, and I'd say they have a 50/50 shot of breaking when they do come loose. New one pops right on easily. They are a "designed for assembly" thing, not at all for disassembly, unfortunately. Little plastic tabs.
