hmm, not sure if all that would help out with MPG's, its SICK the way it is.
Dunno about that, but so far I'd have to dub my JSW:

"supercalifragilisticexpialidocious"

which, sadly, will not fit on a license plate.

Speaking of Which...

And if it had subdubs and was slammed, it'd be ballin'
That little Audi I picked up in Texas in August for $3750 contained the following, and the gent didn't really mention it:

He did mention this:

...and something about putting $3500 into it...

Sick, and with subs.... I've since slammed it with H&R's and Bilstein Sports, so I'm up to $5000 :D

5000 posts and 500 are mine....

... I got word TODAY I will see my ORDERED JSW TDI in early December!

Pretty weird, and I can be labeled a habitual time waster I guess, but this really is my 500th post on this "Release Date" thread of 5000 posts.

I'm a 10 percenter.....

I'll have fun telling the complete story with details when the car is closer to being delivered.

Count on it...

I'd prefer those subs to subdubs.

Subdubs being 19" rims.

Congratulations on your car news!

Car cover

I am looking for a car cover for my sportwagen, something under $200. Any good pointers?

I also found a problem in the car recently: it refuses to take the right highway exit, it always goes one more and loops around. Anybody else noticed this? :p

I do not know but they messed up QSHIPWAGON's 5000 post trick. He had post 5000 for a bit, now he moved down.

Probably TDIMeister moving your post to the Classified section.

Now sure that's following the rules of the forum, but TDIMeister, the people looking for leads on new 2009s are not looking in the Classified section. If we wanted to follow the forum rules completely, this thread and the 2009 tdi thread should have been moved to the A5 forum back in August.

I'd say the incredible amount of legwork Chris has done for many people on this forum - including myself - that he should be cut a little slack now and then.

Any graphite blue owners

Is it just my graphite blue JSW, or are there others with this 'issue'? The fuel filler door has a very different appearance than the surrounding bodywork. It is as though there is less metalflake in the paint, and in the sun the color seems off as well. To a lesser extent, the plastic bumper is painted a little differently, again with less, or smaller, metalflake.

Is it the difference between painting plastic and metal? Or, they were just painted at different times with a slight variance in the paint? I know metalflake can be very difficult to match, right?

I'll point it out to the dealer, but would probably refuse to take any corrective measure as I'd feel even less comfortable about body shop repainting holding up vs. a slight mismatch in the 'factory' paint job.

Any comments?

nc allows for 8 characters. cln dsl is a good one. how about dsl fun. i almost went with jsw tdi. figured most people would not know what jsw meant. we should start a thread to list possible 2009 sportwagen or sedan plates.

Congrats on your prolific posts! Perhaps when your car comes in I could drop off a 6 pack of my newest beer brew - a Christmas Stout :) Anyone else who wants to try one can stop by my place and grab one as well. We all deserve something for our patience :D

I was able to get DEEZIL for mine. Was thinking on DZL PWR but saw DEEZIL available and went for it.

Possible Wheel Trade NY/New England

Since the change in status of my ordered car I will be getting the 16inch wheels that I actually ordered. A few of you responded when I thought I might be getting 17's and might looking for a trade to 16's. Our car is likely to be delivered around the beginning of December and I am probably going to have the dealer install my almost new Hakkapellittas and steel wheels prior to my delivery. What this means: The brand new 16's will go into the garage without being used and if my WIFE decides she wants the 17's I would be willing to trade my 16's and $400 for your new 17's that you might have been "forced" to take. Since the wheels will be in heated storage likely until the end of March this might work for someone in New England or New York. Again, my wife will make the final call as it will be primarily "her" daily driver. If interested, please PM me. If you have lightly used 17's in perfect condition we might be able to work a deal.

You post belongs in the VENDOR CLASSIFIEDS!
So here's the link to Chris's thread in TDI Cars for Sale/Wanted
http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=227081
which probably should have been placed in Vendor & GroupBuy items for sale which seems only has threads for parts at the moment.

ps. Chris - You should have called your thread there "Discounted":)

How about OILBRNR

edit: After many configurations were tried and rejected, I settled on: DZL VDUB
That's ballin' right?
