Can anyone who's already landed their JSW (or not) recommend a good dog barrier for the '09? I was hoping to find a good metal gate to keep my poorly trained dog out of the passenger part of my still somewhat imaginary car.
That's horrible! How picky are you about colors and options? If you're fairly flexible and you're willing to travel a little you can have one within two months right now at MSRP. There's a fair sized bubble coming down the pipeline.harveydonley said:I paid for a sport wagon in full with a promised delivery date of this December. did you order a Ferrari?harveydonley said:I just a call a month ago saying that I wouldn't see my car for 2 years. I got a refund.
Thanks Zlartibartfast! I'll look into those suggestions. Pardon my total ignorance on the matter, but is there a factory option metal cargo partition? I did a quick search & only came up with a Tiguan option. Perhaps I just wasn't thorough enough. . .Zlartibartfast said:I can't recommend, from experience, any of these: http://www.mightypets.com/subcat.asp?0=519
but I can tell you that the "Euro Style" models are a huge PITA to deal with.
The model Midwest model 15N is considered the premium (9 out of 10 Escalade owners with dogs recommend it) but you can see by the price it's well, pricey
Have you looked at the factory option metal cargo partition?
My poorly trained dogs have been given the ultimatum on front seat occupancy (meaning I had to train them about this very important matter).
All I have to deal with at this point is hot steamy dog-breath down the back of my neck, and slobber all over the aft of the car...
Eewww! I sure hope not. Nobody is smoking in my car. If they do, then the option I want would be the Ejection Seat (requires Big Roof System)....and an ashtray in the back doors?
Yeah, but that sticker shows that car listing for 35,600 euros ($48,000)!!!!Zlartibartfast said:they still have ashtrays in Germany?
Yoiks - that's a lot of Rohertrag for a bit of Fahrvergnügen!AhmerTDI said:Yeah, but that sticker shows that car listing for 35,600 euros ($48,000)!!!!
I can't help myself. Is that "I '[heart]' Ann Coulter" some kind of an inside joke or something?bmwM5power said:did you order a Ferrari?
Good question. In place of the in dash 6 disk changer was this:Plonker said:I'm not sure why you'd choose the armrest-mounted cd changer over the center-console one. Is it just me or does the Euro configuration take up more precious space?
Dam, looks like I'm going to have to visit my MIL to get a JSW.coolbreeze said:greenville sc. 2 sedans and a jsw, and has a free 250.00 gas card special (you would think they would call it a fuel card as gas and tdi's don't do well). first promotion on a tdi might be here. 250 gas card will get you around 67 gallons of diesel and over 2700 miles.

I had a dealer email me yesterday that he still doesn't know when they're getting TDI JSWs but they'll give me a lifetime powertrain warranty on any VW. It's not a good time to be a car dealer, even if you're selling TDIs.coolbreeze said:greenville sc. 2 sedans and a jsw, and has a free 250.00 gas card special (you would think they would call it a fuel card as gas and tdi's don't do well). first promotion on a tdi might be here. 250 gas card will get you around 67 gallons of diesel and over 2700 miles.
I asked about the barrier at the dealer when I purchased my car, and it was over $300 and needed to be ordered. I picked up my JSW right before Labor Day and needed to tarvel with the dogs that weekend, so I went to Petco, and for about $80, got the Precision® Universal Vehicle Pet Barrier, and it works incredibly well. I was worried because it said it was for SUV's and had asome bad reviews about fitment, but I was able to install it in a few minutes and it's worked wonders with my 2, 50# lab mixes. I can post some pictures tomorrow if you'd like, but I can't imageine paying $300+ from the dealer after using this one for the past 3000+ miles.Sparkle9 said:Can anyone who's already landed their JSW (or not) recommend a good dog barrier for the '09?
