Good evening, I have only owned my 2011 VW jetta TDI for 8 months. I been taking my car to a VW/TDI junky for some preventative maintenance work. He recommends and swears by running redline 5w30 oil in my TDI and says lots of guys are choosing to run it. As far as compatibility goes it doesn't follow VWs 504/507 spec requirement. I understand the requirements for the low SAPS for the DPF but i this Redline oil still fine to run? I debated this oil over the Liqui Moly Top Tec 4200 oil. Any insight would be appreciated. Ive considering deleting my TDI so id assume if I did then Id be fine with running this oil.

The specs the oil has is:
502.00/503.01/505.01-99

Never have a junkie maintain your car. You want 507 spec oil until you remove the federally mandated emissions devices.
