Hi all,
I need a recommendation for new CV axles. A mixup a few years ago and I wound up with O'Riley's CV joints which always had a vibration at higher RPMs and have now, about 4 years later - crapped out.

My 03 Wagen is modded to about 250lbs torque and lifted, so I'm looking for a recommendation on CV axles that are worth the money and will last. FYI - its just a daily driver and I don't do anything crazy or drive it very hard.

Thanks!

There are just too many to list....
Just find some good originals and rebuild as necessary, or use them as cores for Raxles. Everything else is just Chinese junk.

GKN is good, but they were not OE on that car. Some other supplier was.... FlexConn or something like that. They have a tag on them.

Hi,

I have a set of OEM CV axles that I'd like to get rebuilt but cannot seem to locate a set of inner CV joints ..... Any idea where I can find some ? ( I tried ID Parts , FCP Euro and a a couple other places I can't recall but they seem to be out of the inners).

Thanks

Andrew

are you even sure what you need done? axle is not CV joints. the axle is the big metal part. unless you're hearing clunky sounds...

HI,

Sorry I probably didn't use the correct terminology but it;s the inner joints that need replacing (one of them had a ripped boot for who knows how long and makes funny noises now)..... I figured if I have to rebuild the one might as well do them all (well both) and have a set of back up axles / cv joints for the next changeout (hopefully at least 200K from now but not sure how long they actually last).

Did you see this? The inner is the same for both sides but the boot isn't.
