I am thinking of moving these from the wagon to the Golf. Long story.

I know that the 2 door stock seats have an awesome lever that you press to make it easy for rear passengers.

Has anyone replaced the front seats with GLI Recaros? How much a pain is access to the rear?

I don't feel like doing more interstate travel for a nice set of GTI recaro seats.

Thanks!

If you mean putting non flip-forward seats into a 2 door Golf/GTI, yes it's annoying to access the back, especially if you do it often.

Maybe just replace the driver's seat?

For me, the high bolster VW seats are pretty comfy( I admit that the Recaro are preferable, but their foam is of poor quality and is usually worn out by now ). For the passengers, they are usually bigger than me( really easy at 6'-1" and 155 lbs ), so I leave the OE plain seats in. Or as I developed this, use the earlier, round bolster sport seats that are slightly more accommodating.

Ultimately I really want cloth-covered R32 seats. The R32 are awesome, but leather covered and hideously expensive...so....
