so i did all this freakin work to systematically remove all the crap from the mk3 ahu engine harness that was not engine related... and im installing it into the car and the round cannon plug breaks on me.

please tell me there is replacement parts for this thing! searching online and im not finding much, perhaps i'll have to take the PN to the dealer and hope for the best?

They might be NLA from dealers- I can't remember when I looked a year ago. I had one bust as well but I had a solid one so I soldered all of the connections, what a hassle.

Paging G60ing... I think he did buy a replacement from a dealer.

 guess you hadn't heard of terminal pin removal tools?

O.P. do you ever use this handy search function? lmgtfy.com
Have an Amphenol one sitting on my desk :D but I was in my garage, under equipped and impatient ;) its one of those things that will get redone eventually.

I think it's just the spin on exterior lock that's broken, maybe I can pop off a replacement from the gasser without breaking it, thoughts?

No TDIs Currently, I have an R36 Corrado. I've had an ALH Corrado swap, AHU Corrado swap and 2003 TDI Jetta
Yuppers $75-$90 depending on where you them from. I replaced mine last September, no pin tool required. I use small metal pieces ground down to fit. The metal comes on some old windshield wiper blades.
