Rear trun signal problem in 2013 TDI Passat

Hello all,

I have a 2013 TDI Passat. The rear left turn signal is malfunctioning. After going over a speed bump, it stopped working and the flasher blinked rapidly, prompting a bulb change message. I replaced the bulb twice, but it kept failing. I tested the light assembly with the rear right side light, and it didn't work either. It could be a faulty harness or flasher. Has anyone encountered this issue and found a solution? Other turn signals work fine, except the left rear.

Thanks!

It is probably a bad socket. Any corrosion or sign of moisture getting in from a cracked lens or anything?

No, there is no corrosion or a sign of moisture at all. Can it be a broken harness from the inside joint? I cannot find any wiring diagram of turn signal lights or how it runs inside the rear fender. Tried all YouTube, Google and nothing comes up.
Can a bad flasher cause only one side of the turn signal to malfunction?

That is all controlled through the BCM, and it has DTCs stored I'm sure, but I'd go after the socket having a bad contact first. Try bending the tabs tighter.
