Hi we had some pretty severe flooding in South FL ever since there appears to be water trapped under the car that is not leaking out. This is causing the carpets to get wet I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions how to deal with this before the damage gets worse. I was thinking of just being consistent for several days and placing towels on the floors where the water accumulates until it sucked everything out but I was wondering if anyone had any more efficient solution like perhaps a clogged drain or something under the vehicle.

When I drive around I can hear the water sloshing around when then vehicle stops. The water is more pronounced in both rear passenger floors when I apply pressure to the carpet the water seeps in.

This is a 2011 MkVI Jetta S with no sunroof.

Thank you!!

Are there any rubber plugs under the floor board area?
Pop them out should get some if not most of the water out.
Is it warm & sunny down there?

Remove the trim at the doors and prop the carpet up with fans blowing on the padding. Also check around your spare tire for water.
