Great reuse of degraded and salvage EV batteries. Ultimately though, I think it will be more efficient for utility scale battery storage to use storage specific high cycle chemistries like LFP that don't require super high energy density and can be manufactured more cheaply in mass quantities. The used EV batteries probably lend themselves better to smaller scale operations. It would be cool if they started designing the EV batteries with this sort of reuse in mind.
I'm sure repurposing old EV batteries is saving tons of money and is giving battery recycling plants time to build up.

I love Tyson, but did anyone see the time when he said BB-8 "couldn't exist" without CG, and they literally rolled a functional one out on stage? That was funny. :D

I listen to his podcasts a lot....

I liked that one too. They were sure they had optioned the bulletproof interior trim, lol.
Another one with dealerships is the "Ever since" syndrome. Ever since you changed my oil, my sunroof leaks, ever since you put air in my tires, my radiator leaks.

Now if Volkswagen would just get their head out of their ass... they went too far butthurt after Dieselgate and are finally realizing it's difficult to compete with the Chinese onslaught of cheapo-throwaway EVs. Tariffs have possibly slowed some of them in certain markets, but given Volkswagen has been enjoying such sales success IN China, where tariffs like that won't apply, it is hurting them badly.

Rivian may be able to help, who knows. But their "I.D" nonsense is proving to be a global dud. I would have liked to see a better development and improvement of the eGolf, but that never caught on either.

I still feel a diversified product portfolio is the best thing, and that includes DIESELS for those of us that prefer their merits.

Never would have guessed that was going to happen. 🙄
I predict the next change of venue up will take place no later than the 2026 pledge, and such speculation and/or mandates will keep fuel prices down as well as oil and gas industry lobbyists busy. What it all means is I will be able to continue to afford gas for my K5. Hell yeah, viva la EV movements baby!!!
