I had to share this, because it just seems totally off-base!

VW has improved the interior? Wha?

Anyways, hit the link if you want a chuckle...

Maybe he meant improved interior space (like rear seat legroom), not improved interior quality. Actually I found the review to be pretty good (for a journalist - not a car guy). Most of his points were reasonable. I have definately seen worse reviews of this car.

Have Fun!

For the average car buyer it seems well written and pretty accurate. Those of us on this board are not average and have very high expectations from our VW's. With that, there is nothing but complaining about VW build quality but 99.9% of us still keep buying the new model cars.

My ex wife purchased our first VW in 2002, it was a gasser. Since then, I've had a 2003 Golf TDI, 2009 Gasser (needed a larger car with a little one on the way at the time), 2010 Jetta TDI, and finally my other half just purchased a 2011 Jetta TDI. While I wouldn't enjoy the 2011 as much as my 2010, she is COMPLETELY satisfied with hers.....she's you're average driver.

In almost 10 years of driving VW they have come a long way and were all fantastic cars. I think we're a bit too harsh and picky in this community. Just my 2 cents.

I liked this statement "From the ground up, the Jetta is roomier, sleeker and more efficient than ever."
