Can any of you confirm if rawtek may have accidentally sent the wrong downpipe. Pics attached, there is no egt threading. Does the 2014 model not need this sensor, or is it just a accident on the side of the vendor?

The receipt was double checked and confirmed that the correct kit was ordered.

If you need any clarification, I'll respond when available.

Thanks

There are just too many to list....
Last one I, er.... "a friend", did, which was on a CKRA, did not have that EGT sensor hole either. But the car/new tune had no issue with it being gone. I thought it was a CKRA thing, because the CJAA ones usually do, but maybe they decided they could just do away with this redundant sensor... as there is already an EGT sensor literally two inches away in the turbocharger itself.

The lambda sensor hole was still present, though.

So should Installation be attempted? As in, will there be any damage to the engine without that sensor?

Also, what are the odds of a warranty/exchange issue if it is installed and found to not work with the vehicle. (If you were to speculate).

The sensor is a function of the what the tune uses. If the two answers you've already been given still do not satisfy you, contact the tuner and ask them.

My non-rawtek pipe did not have the extra EGT hole either. 2011 CJAA Sportwagen.
Same with the one I had from Flowdirekt -only had bung for oxygen sensor (this was on CJAA).

If you look at MecEvo, Profidiesel, and probably other downpipes, they only use the lambda sensor as well.

Did you do a tunezilla tune with that setup?

I did wonder about the missing EGT bung since I was following the Rawtek instructions. But, like Oilhammer says, there is one in the turbo and I don’t think I could have extracted it from the DPF piping anyways. If concerned, check with your tuner if it’s needed (I may have messaged Malone, but don’t exactly remember).
