questions about the New PD and the old A3

I am going to be the owner soon of an 06 Jetta PD, wow to not say TDI os disturbing. but anyway. I had a ONCCV on my Jetta before it got tottaled by the hurricane. I have read about the clogging on the new PDs and about the Provent system. IS IT possible to use the ON on a new PD? I would hate to get rid of it before I knew better as this thing is a GEM. it worked wondefully on the jetta along with the EGR vag-com mod. thanks
