Does anybody know of some Boost and EGT Gauges that would fit in the two rectangular areas just under the vent, to the left of the Hazard lights switch?

Alternately is there another spot to mount these, where they fit neatly in the dash, other than next to the window or on top of the steering column.

I do not like the look of the ones that hang next to the widow or on top of the steering colum.

tnx

Ah ok
You said you didn't like the look of them. You didn't mention safety concerns. I don't have to worry about that, as I don't have A pillar airbags.

possibility to get hit in the head by a airbag propelled guage??
Did you see that happening? Or know for a fact that is possible? (this is just a pet peeve of mine)

On the other hand, I don't like the A pilar or steering wheel column either.
This is what I had from 42draftdesigns.com

I got an air vent guage holder from swg in the UK

Quality of the guage is much to be desired, as is fitment, but the actual "vent with the hole" is spot on

Wow, that is pretty cool! They have some other cool things there too... Temp controlers and such.... I think I can make one of those temp controllers turn on a device of sorts to reduce fueling when EGT goes up high... Kind of like a reverse- Evrymod...
Or turn *on* water/meth, if you didn't want to do it by boost control.

True... I think I'm going to order one of those just to tinker around with it.. I can use it in my Monte Carlo project if it doesn't work out in the TDI.. I want to use small intercoolers with the Monte' probably the size of stock TDI intercoolers.. I could use the controller to turn on a pump to spray water over the intercoolers when intake temp goes up too high...

Man _ these are WAYYY cool .

I wish they had the Boost Pressure to match and they could just go side by side in those tow unsued spots under the vent.

Than you everyone for your thoughts and ideas.

i have a large radio with a stupid casette and CD!!!!!!! who still uses that in this era of i Pods . I just use my I pod jack.

Maybe I can replace the radio for a smaller one to generate some space to put the gauges above the radio like below.

that looks great as well.

i am not very fond of the gauges next to the windows.

Thanks again everyone .

From the website..

it can be used in a broad range of temperature, pressure, and flow measurement applications
it sounds like you could find a standard output pressure transucer (i.e. 4-20ma) to wire to it and calibrate. It won't be as easy as buying a guage meant only for boost but shouldn't be that hard.

Those gauges look pretty handy and inexpensive to boot. I would be all over these things if my NB had the button blanks in a similar space.
