That's the amusing thing...they say that you can comment now...but they conspicuously forgot to tell people where to do it. I took that to mean that they don't REALLY want to hear from anyone.

My $.02...if you want to comment...draft up an email...fire it off to the DOJ, FTC, Judge Breyer, Hagens Berman (and the other big firms involved in the plaintiffs steering committee), etc.

Yup. "To be scheduled..." and it's only 24 days from the preliminary approval hearing. Assuming they post the information on 7/5...that'll make the comment window less than 20 days.

...unless they decide to have another week or two week extension. It has happened before, it could happen again. The "wheels of justice" turn very slowly (have you ever done jury duty?).

No, the comment period will be the required 30 days. The July date is the Preliminary fairness hearing on the CAS. In reality, until the final hearing on the CAS, the FTC and DOJ settlements are nice, but not really necessary to have accepted by the court. You can't run down to the dealer and drop the keys because the FTC or DOJ settle.

Also, federal regs frown very much on cutting the public comment period, many settlements and rules have been undone because the required time was skipped. Don't expect that to happen, too sloppy on something that will net them a few $B, they wouldn't risk it.
