Protech CV Axles

Hi, I have a 2001 Golf TDI with a 5 speed manual. Left axle needs to be replaced. I live in Canada and have been searching for replacement options. It looks like most people recommend staying away from the cheap options. I see that Roseland sells a somewhat mid-priced Protech CV axle.
Does anyone have any experience with these? any good?

Any other recommendations?

You can rebuild your OEM axle, and it is well worth your time to do so.
idparts has rebuild kits.
If you buy Chinese, you'll be back in this same situation in a few years.
idparts.com. also have a "GSP" branded axle complete, and I doubt they'd sell these if they're crap.
