If you have a BMW dealer near you go to the parts dept. and ask for a tube of Gumifledge. This stuff is a silicone paste designed for exactly this application. It should only run you about $7 for a tube.

How do you <subject> ?
Do you apply a lubricant? What lubricants work?
Will a Lithium Grease (a little thicky) work? or it would damage them in time?

It happens from time to time (not very often) and i want to prevent them from ripping during opening attempts of the door.

TNX!
