Premium Diesel

Got the bill of lading at the Elmhurst Amoco and it is in fact Amoco Premier LSD, cetane 50.
On the bill, that is, and hopefully the tank contents match.
I asked the owner about ULSD and he didn't know. The LSD designation has been on the bill for a while he stated.

I stopped here a few days ago - the clerk had no idea what I was talking about. He sifted through some papers, and said this is #2 regular diesel, but its the best stuff? Go figure. He did say however that a Speedway in DG sells Premium diesel. I looked around and couldn't find it. On a side note, around Elgin on the way to DG there was a Citgo which had a large yellow sign that says Premium diesel. There is no price on it yet, but one can imagine they might carry it in the future. I asked the guy inside, and he said it wasn't premium and he had no idea why they had a sign out there.

The speedway station is just a few blocks east on Ogden

. The price is usually either the same or just a few cents lower than the BP.

BP station at Army Trail Road and Swift Road 1 block West of the Army Trail Road exit from I-355 sells BP Diesel.

Do all Chicago BP stations now sell Premium Diesel?

I stopped there today and found the Amoco Premier sticker on the pump. I didn't ask the clerk to confirm, but the diesel looked nearly clear and I had no smoke on hard accelerations (which I had a lot of with the last tank I bought at the LaSalle/Ontario BP in the city--did they stop selling Premier?)

Gulf Dieselselect in Bordentown NJ (Northbound lane where US130 and US202 meet) I filled up for $2.25 per gallon last weekend.

Ouch. $3.049 a gallon for Premium BP in Downers Grove this morning.

Oh well, at least I don't have to do that for awhile....
