power steering rack

My power steering rack has recently fully broken—there's a red wheel light on the dash, and I have no power steering at all. I’ve been told I need to replace it. My current part number is 1K2 423 051 AS, and I’ve bought one with the part number 1K2 423 051 BA. Do the last two letters matter, or can I use it?
