Hello, Child of mine has 2015 TDI in Crested Butte, CO. Sportwagen stored for winter. Replaced battery a week ago. Starts, runs fine. After sitting overnight, it does not start until it is jumped. But then it runs fine. Battery checked by NAPA, "Nothing wrong with battery." Local mechanic, "Need to take it elsewhere. Don't know TDI's". Advice needed, Willing to drive/have it shipped cause we kinda love this car.

I had a car that had been sitting for a few months…Make sure that all of your door locks are actually locked when you hit the key fob lock button. My horn beeps so I know that all 4 door actuators are actually locked. I had an overnight drain on my battery and found it was just the lock actuator on my driver side rear door. I had to take the little rubber grommet off right beside the door lock and push the lever back with the key to get it in the lock position … then lock the car and you should get a beep… Hope yours is this simple. My.02 cents of advice

Also another typical piece of advice for many cars ..make sure the FOB isn't stored in the car....
Some people leave them in the car when in a safe spot, but reality is the car is seeing the key and not going fully to sleep like if the fob is gone or the door is locked
