(I'm a 90-minute drive from VF, so it's too long to commute, and I can head home after the banquet and not get in too late)

Guy I talked to said the special room rate ended today (not the 6th). Don't know why the discrepancy, but not too concerned - I've got mine.

Today was the orginal release date set forth, way back when we contracted the hotel in Nov 2005.

Since the Hotel had server problems with handling the Reservations, they extended our release to Aug 6th 1159pm eastern time.

here's the email from the hotel . understand the Aug 7th mentioned below means the rooms left over are released that day.

Also, understand I am dealing with a trade show/conference/special services Rep. not the Front desk. The front desk may not know of the change.

Okay...after much debate, and a few initial problems with booking under the "discount" rate, and finally getting the $80-a-night deal with the assistance of a few dedicated and helpful people here, I'll do the trek to check out what this TDI FEST is all about; together with the Philly area and a Braves vs Phillies game....and GO MARLINS !! 1 room with double beds; nonsmoking.
