^^^ "Most"? Who are these "most" people?
Could you get them to post similar pictures?

I'm going to have to check my optilube bottle. I noticed a little build up at the bottom of my small glass bottles, but hadn't checked the main bottled yet.

I am no expert on this. The people I have seen post pictures are on the other forums this is on. This is not a picture friendly forum as you cannot upload to it.

W/o numbers, it's hard to understand the magnitude of the problem.

Could you take a guess at how many people have actually posted photos?

Pictures are not an issue here. Using the tdiclub picture server or another online site (photobucket and others) lets you post pics easily. There are instructions here on how to do this and it is easy to do.

RIP 16 GSW... Just the LR diesel now
Threads like this scare people off diesels. First add the Urea. Then add this to every tank....

Maybe 7 or 8. Is it wide spread? Who knows. How many of them are on a forum and how many post? We will never know.

Sorry, I meant its not easy to post here like other forums that you can browse tot he picture and add it to the thread (upload) while you are typing.

I know it is easy, but you have to plan to upload first or know where the picture is. Just not as easy as almost all the other forums.

Mine has been sitting around for over 8 months. No issues to report. Less than half full.

So the main issue here seems to be with biodiesel, which is used in the XPD and XL products?

Assuming then that there is no bio, and predominantly chemicals from Lubrizol are used in the other products, has anyone considered or tried using a blend of Winter and Summer+, to approximate the "stats" of the XPD, without the biodiesel?

Winter plus Amsoil pure cetane would be my choice.

But for the price you pay, why not just buy Stanadyne or double does on Power Service.

I checked an XPD 8 ounce bottle I refill and one corner has some black stuff that looks like a mildew. Nothing in the additive, but something started to accumulate on the bottom of the bottle.

I am not playing the game of "maybe" any more.
