Yes that's correct. I also get a big dial pad on the screen which comes in handy in situations where u have to dial extensions etc. Have you tried talking to the dealership about it or VW customer service.

They told me today that combination of radio and phonebook doesn't come on the SE TDI with MT. I am going to use the pic of your car to show them otherwise. Customer service at dealership and corporate VW has been unimpressive so far.

I Have the phone button on my radio. 6M stock car.
Take a look at the self study guide post. None of the radios in that guide match what I have in my car.
I have a 6 disk changer, hands free bluetooth with steering wheel controls, voice dial, etc. works great. There is a phone button on the radio right side center button. There must be some sort of change in the model being offered.

Hello all, A road trip from Indiana to the Washington DC area. Total miles one way was 660. About 25 % was hills and mountains. 90% interstate with the remander 2 lane highway. One person with about 150# of gear. Going Eastbound I estimated I had a 10 mph tailwind and average speed was 60mph. Mileage was 49.05 on the trip. The MFD showed an average consumption of 53.4, so it is reading high on my car. Going Westbound I drove faster with an average speed on the trip of 66mph. I had a 10-15mph headwind. Mileage on the trip home was 45.4 and the computer said 48.5. I had 36 psi in the tires on both legs with temps from 40F to 55F, Stability to me seemed similar to my 2006 Mk5 Jetta Not as stable as the dart like performance of my 2000 MK 4 Jetta. Wind noise is noticeable above 70 which I feel is the turbulent airflow around the exterior mirrors. I was really hoping to get over 50 mpg. My personal best was my 2000 TDI 5 speed in Florida (flat) with 1 tank average of 55MPG. Dave

It looks like there are more 6MT passats around lately. I got mine in late Oct. Perhaps I should have waited a bit for a better deal and/or bigger selection.

That being said, I am very happy with my purchase. Great ride, great mileage and plenty of room. Are others seeing more 6MTs too?

To the Blackie: Can I ask you if you ordered yours or just bought it from the lot? I ordered Glacier Blue Metallic on 8-11 and still waiting...
Have you received your vehicle yet? We ordered on 9/8 and still waiting. Hoping month of December for arrival, but Sales Mgr. says it might be early January. Hope he is wrong.

Anyone looking for a 6-spd should contact Chris Farnham (3193 on the forums). I originally wanted to order an SEL in glacier blue, but when I saw that he had an SE manual and then I looked at the standard features list for the base TDI SE I was sold. I am very happy with the decision I made. In my case it was a car someone ordered but then had a change of situation that prevented them from following through.
