Or even downloadable from the claims portal.Good luck! It must be very disconcerting to say the least. The whole email receipt is fine as long as you get the email! Really there should also be a paper receipt given to help rectify snafu's like this.
I was provided a paper receipt at my buyback last Saturday - seemed it was part of his routine. Email followed. EFT on Monday and $$ on TuesdayGood luck! It must be very disconcerting to say the least. The whole email receipt is fine as long as you get the email! Really there should also be a paper receipt given to help rectify snafu's like this.
I hope you will not be buying another VW as a replacement.Still at the dealership. Specialist is unable to close the claim and is getting the run around over the phone
Why do you care what other people buy? You seem awfully invested in other people boycotting VW.I hope you will not be buying another VW as a replacement.
Thanks for the updates -- please let us know what happens. Must be very frustrating!Still at the dealership. Specialist is unable to close the claim and is getting the run around over the phone
The more people that get fed up with the jerking around of the claims process, then most likely they will take their buyback money and go elsewhere. In that way, that's less money going back into VW's pockets. Why do you care what other people buy? You seem awfully invested in other people boycotting VW.
If you chose EFT when you selected payment method, it will be difficult to change it to a check. You can't do it at turn in time as the check is cut before hand and mailed to specialist at dealership. I selected EFT and I am trying to change it to check and I have not been able to talk to anybody yet who can make the change. Folks at the claims number tell me they can't do it. They say I need to talk with somebody in accounting, so far nobody from accounting has called me back.Makes me certain I will demand a check at the turn in and hand in the key when he hands me the check.
Every time I see this thread come to life, I keep hoping that they found some stupid problem somewhere along the way and that everything is good now .Monty is not at the dealership today, apparently he's working at another VW store. Tomorrow will be a week since this odyssey began
Uh, I think for 99.9% of them, it's looking so damn fine that they've left thisAnd all you people were in such a hurry to get out of your cars "RIGHT AWAY" ? How's that looking now ? I would have waited some time for VW to get the process sorted out first, but lots of you just couldn't wait a bit .
Even though I am selling mine back, my wife isn't - she is going for the fix. So some of us will be around even after the car is gone.Uh, I think for 99.9% of them, it's looking so damn fine that they've left this site and have resumed a normal, VW-free existence. Sucks what's happening here, but definitely an aberration.
Thanks, fixed!Even though I am selling mine back, my wife isn't - she is going for the fix. So some of us will be around even after the car is gone.
Reliable sources spotted Monte in Nice, driving a Rolls-Royce convertible.Monty is not at the dealership today, apparently he's working at another VW store. Tomorrow will be a week since this odyssey began
Yeah, it seems like if you don't walk out the door with your discrepancy resolved, you just go back into that foggy, deep black hole. Duly noted on recording the whole thing--although mine will probably not happen until March (when my replacement car comes in); hopefully they have the kinks worked out by then. One of the smartest things we can do during the buyback appointment!
I hope my chest mount GoPro action cam will intimidate the VW Buyback Ambassador to the point they will actually do their job correctly!
I hope they know, the hot second there is a discrepancy and they want to defer me to the claims hotline....then they'll just get posted on social media by video recording...representing VW and look VW can't do their job
