I was surprised to receive mine via UPS. You could save $ in shipping by going to the USPS web site & print out a Priority Mail lable which includes free delivery conformation & put it into a flat rate PM envelope for a total cost of $3.50 to anywhere in the US.

without going on and on...its a matter of time and care. i dont think that stacking a number of small packages in my front office would be such a great idea. i know usps is cheaper;however, it just doesnt work for me and still allow me to ship daily. fact of the situation. thanks for the tip though.

As silly as this sounds - you might want to consider opening a corporate account at fedex. I'm not sure what the requirements are, off of the top of my head, but you save 20-30% off of their regular rates, which are cheaper/same as UPS, as far as i know, especially with fedex ground.

Thanks! The money has been sent. I think that I need a MAF (this car has terrible flatspots at all sorts of RPMs, my last TDI didn't). If it doesn't turn out to be the MAF then it won't hurt to have a spare on hand. My wife drives 50,000 mi/yr. /images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Ordered Thurs 12/4 (late), part arrived Wed. Installed last night (did not cut off "ears" on side of MAF, drilled holes in sides of connector for them to fit into). Car actually has power again.

I ordered a MAF from SilentBob today. I may have to hook up with you when the MAF arrives. I wish I had one of those Vag-Com's. The Gene Langan VW wanted to charge me $920 to replace this MAF($675),Injector return lines($110)& the Coolant temp sensor($135)/images/graemlins/mad.gif

If you need to see a dealer for anything I'd recommend you drive across the border to West Springfield and see Fathers and Sons. I didn't even buy my car there but have had good service under warranty. Of course if it's something you can do yourself or with the help of friends don't bother with any dealer. /images/graemlins/cool.gif

grrrr....can i just say that after the day i just had at work, filtering through my inbox and dealing with one "issue" after another, i can honestly say that i feel for the semi-pro "vendors" on here. more power to ya guys. wow.

OK GUYS...all good things come to and end.ive gotta stop selling these, and not on the best terms. there is an investigation going on at my place of work. about internet sales etc...if for some reason someone contacts you about where you bought and from who etc PLEASE cooperate fully, tell them about this site/ my name/screenname etc. PLEASE. dont worry folks, ive done no wrong. crazy days at work indeed. sorry about the abrupt end. its been fun etc...everyone has been great. just not gonna get in trouble with the powers that be over this one, i love my job wayyyy too much. thanks again
