Appointment came, on 5/14 VWoA state a loaner would be provided, dealer had no loaner (has a month or two waiting list), VWoA didn't provide a rental.

I got an alignment and left with the advice try another dealer that might have a loaner, or wait for the waiting list of a loaner.

I have yet to speak directly with the regional case manager but they are supposed to give me a call today. . . . .

My other problems with Galpin VW here in Los Angeles aside, when they had my car (not for the emissions fix, but for an issue they caused) they got me a rental since they had no loaners available. Dealer covered that cost, whatever it was.

I provided my license information, which the rental company would of course need. They asked me to provide "backup" payment information which I refused.

VWoA rep called Friday afternoon, claimed they couldn't get in touch with the dealer about a loaner before my appointment.

She also claimed she couldn't leave a voice mail when trying to reach me the 10 minutes i wasn't in front of my cell phone Thursday. . .

Apparently verizon had a major voice mail outage. . . .

She also stated because the dealer hadn't ordered parts there wasn't much she could do, also VWoA doesn't "directly contract loaners/rentals, any loaners rentals must be initiated through the dealer".

She said she'd be back in contact with me this Wed with an update, wonder if I'll have a voicemail issue then as well.

IMO Quirk seems to want to wash their hands of it and make me go to another dealer, sad as we bought two cars from them and next closest dealer is 30-50 min away, and I'd need to start the process off cold with a service advisor.

Phase 2 is now complete, we eventually went to Autofair in nashua, there is an enterprise right next door, they had no issues getting a rental 2023 malibu, they had the car for 6 days.

nice shiny new PDF/DOC, 110K on the clock, with a new TB done 1K ago, knock on wood no more issues down the road.
