Is 038 103 384C correct please? i want the 12.9 tensile ones.

I told the guy at VW they were for the ARL PD150 golf and he gave me this number.

They're for my AFN Passat engine so will need shortening.

I understand I also need to run them with the washers that are under the stock bolt heads? Can these be bought separately please?

Aside, my ARP tdi-specific head studs, brand new and complete kit, is for sale! £150.

Thanks

I know it is an old thread but while searching for answers I was pointed here numeruos times in search engine.
Here is what I found as part numbers of replacement part manufacturers such as Reinz, Elring, Corteco and others:

http://www.autopartoo.com/oem/reinz/143212201.html

It was usefull for me, so it might be usefull for somebody else as well.

Do you think the 150 bolts will be a better option than the arp studs? Also curious about the shortening etc. If you could pm me details or that it'd be appreciated.

Cheers bud

Wow cant believe 4 years has flown past.
I need a new cambelt this year!
I now have another set of ARP head studs which I'll be using at some point.
Re-usable and saves the faff of cutting down bolts. Should ultimately be better.
If I use these I'll at least have the bolt washers for sale for anyone doing a PD150 bolt upgrade (you need to cut your old bolts to get the under-head washers off and then open the holes up to slide onto the PD150's.... there must be alternative washers that can be used of course...

The PD150's just need shortening to the stock length as theyre longer!

Can someone explain it to me?
It seems like ARL bolts are 6mm longer so i must cut them or find some spacers/washers (don't know right word)?
What is common solution for spacers?

Depends if you havea PD100/130 etc or a VE engine.

- For VE, cut down the PD150 bolts and use the VE head bolt washers - cut the bolts to get them off.
- For PD, I assume all PD bolts the same length so simply fit the PD150 versions? Straight swap

I got Pd100 (ATD).
Guess i don't need to do anything else besides just swap the bolts.
Hopefully if i swap them one by one there is no need for dismantle head of the bottom part.
I have ordered those bolts yesterday. Will see them in vivo when they arives.
