Can anyoane confirm that 07Z 130 073 H from 5.0 TDI ,can be fitted to 1.9 TDI PD??
Are they electonicaly compatible ?
Thanks
I have the same question. Does anyone know more about this injectors? Plunger /electronics? Are they a plug and play (or with remap) replacement for pd130 BA injectors?

Yes the 07Z 130 073 H are electronically and mechanically compatible. You migth want to put custom ECU remap to get best benefits from the injectors or your fuel consumption will rise.

don't know how efficient the 073 H are but 073 T turned up to be worse than stock PD105 073 AG ones...

cheers

I asked about 073H because they said that are 560cmc, that's more than ARL ones, at the same prices. I thought is a good idea to take them into account for a future replacement.

The (560 ccm) 5.0TDI PD-Units have an slightly differenz injection angle, 148° vs 150°.
So this is why I would not use them in 1.9TDI

And if you are still thinking about trying it -> you need to change BIP-maps, which I am not shure many tuners know...

could anyone link to source of the info about the injectors efficiency? I really can't find it anywhere? I guess the 073T injectors are pretty close to 073H and they aren't even remotely close to 073AL ones so I'm just wondering where are the quoted values coming from

I made a little research on http://www.chinahanji.com/25_elect4.htm
In fact, the information is from Bosch site but with all injectors together.

Now I don't know what properties of an injector make's it compatible with another. I tried to filter using the type
If I have PDE-P1.1/80/520S216 038130073BA, I have this:

bosch code type original code car engine code
0 414 720 216 PDE-P1.1/80/520S216 038130073BA Passat 1.9 TDI Variant/ Alhambra 1.9 TDI AVF/ AWX/ ASZ
0 414 720 222 PDE-P1.1/80/520S222 038130073BC Passat 2.0 TDI
0 414 720 225 PDE-P1.1/80/560S225 07Z130073K Touareg 5.0 TDI
0 414 720 228 PDE-P1.1/80/560S228 070130073N
0 414 720 229 PDE-P1.1/80/550/229 038130073BJ
You can see that the ARL ones are not compatible, are P1.3 (don't know what it means but for sure there is something different in the ECU, you cannot mount them without modifications).
0 414 720 039 PDE-P1.3/80/550S39 038130073AL GOLF IV ARL

So, it seems that the Touareg 5.0 and 2.5 TDI injectors should be ok and the biggest OEM, but we don't know about the nozzles, if they have the same spray angle, 150*. No info about that.

The 073BJ have the same nozzles as 073AL ? Can those 2 be fitted to BA injectors?

I don't think you can interchange any injectors with different ones properly without touching the software. Chances are many of them will run and likely with some you will not see any noticeable change but that doesn't mean there isn't a difference. If I read the part numbers correctly the P1.x number is the series number of the injector body. /xx/ is the plunger diameter (ex. 80 = 8.0mm), 560 is the flow and S225 is just a sequential number. For example the BA and BC and even BB all have the same specs but internally there could be different settings that can change the preinjection, delay/durations, and flow. I think the best thing to do is select the injectors you want and have your tuner copy over the maps from the ECU they came from into your ECU.

I read something at the weekend which said the newer PD105 bodies were actually better than the AL pd130/pd150 bodies that many (including me) have attached bigger nozzles too. Can anyone else verify this? I always assumed the PD105 were just the same as the older PD100 bodies.

so let me get this straight

I am trying to understand and learn how this works
so bare with me and correct my mistakes

The 465cc, 530cc and 550cc injectors as a base to start, will have less 'flow' capability than the 425cc

The restriction on the stock nozzels prevent (?) All the fuel being injected :s

What is the general limit people take each nozzel - hp(kw) per cylinder
I saw someone had posted 40hp/c for the 465 not sure if that is standard or aftermarket nozzels

I am really interested in how this works (injectors rated 125cc down giving better outputs with the same nozzels)

Keelan

EDIT: Also, if there are different 100PD injectors which have been decided as the the go to to look out for? (P/N, Eng.code, make/model)

All this help wil be so much appreciated

I ffeel I've crossed myself when trying to explain my own confusion.

I am trying to understand how the change of nozzels on the injectors allows the 100pd's 425cc injector to surpass the output of the other (larger capacity) injectors. What happens to allow it to flow more fuel?

Have you tried running the lift pump.
Not sure if your software will allow you to do it with VCDS. If not I've jumped the relay or just powered it directly. Usually 30-60s is enough.

That's interesting. Over here all our PDs have lift pumps. Mind you we only have BEW PD100, BRM PD100, BHW PD136, and the V10 TDI PD.

Hi guys, I'm looking for 530 or 550cc injectors for my Polo 6N2 1.4TDI AMF, mine is 045 130 073 T , can I run a:
038 130 073 BA
038 130 073 AA
038 130 073 AL
Some of these, after remap of course?
My project is to convert from Wastegate to VNT - 1749VA with some of this nozzles and FMIC. I'm looking at about 160h.p. Thanks in advance.

Old thread I know but it was answered in another PD injector thread. The body's have a straighter flow of fuel vs the PD150 has a restriction channel which reduces output. So the same knozzle installed on a PD100 and a PD150, the PD100 will flow more.

It is an old thread...but a goodie.

In this post:
bosch code type original code car engine code
0 414 720 216 PDE-P1.1/80/520S216 038130073BA Passat 1.9 TDI Variant/ Alhambra 1.9 TDI AVF/ AWX/ ASZ
0 414 720 222 PDE-P1.1/80/520S222 038130073BC Passat 2.0 TDI
0 414 720 225 PDE-P1.1/80/560S225 07Z130073K Touareg 5.0 TDI
0 414 720 228 PDE-P1.1/80/560S228 070130073N
0 414 720 229 PDE-P1.1/80/550/229 038130073BJ

For a 038 130 073BB, what is the PDE-P1.x/nn...coding?

Hoping it is an 8mm, pd100 flow path injector with 1.1 solenoids...:)
Thanks,
Douglas

good ole interweb!
PDE1.1/80/510S227
It is unlikely to be the convoluted ARL flow path...:)

Hi, Injectors 038130073BJ (PDE-P1.1 / 80/550/229) and 038130073AL (PDE-P1.3 / 80 / 550S39) Do you think I can get the same results with BJ in the same configuration (2 bar)?

Thank you very much.

Does anyone know the difference between BRM injector part #
045 130 073 T vs 038 130 073 BN

045130073T vs 038130073BN

Both interchangeable?

how to register in the ECU 1,9 tdi pd nozzles from the Tuareg 07Z 130 073 H 560 er? what cards besides the duration of beep signals need to be redone based on the arl firmware?

Do the PDE run perfectly when idling?
at idle, it works almost perfectly. a little bit with an increase above 1300rpm starts a little sausage, then even with a large excess, everything works smoothly. it starts for a long time, but very much overestimated the starting feed and it became good to start. The problem is at the very top, there is not enough fuel at 46 degrees of duration. what where maps of BIP signals did you copy from EDK 16 Tuareg?

This is crazy. with a 560 pde at 4300 rpm and a duration of 46 degrees, that's 90mg / h. which soi are you going? you have much too late durationend after OT. you need a lot of air to keep the exhaust gas temperature low.

as far as I know, 46 degrees are not possible mechanical or do you have a different camshaft?
what software have your ASZ ECU?
