Passenger Mirror shake

While driving my 2015 the right mirror shakes all over the place. When parked there is no movement at all it is solid as it should be. I can move it around with the mirror control while moving. Very strange, for nothing is loose or disconnected, it is like the electric motor that operates the unit is shorting out. Has anyone experienced something like this with their car?

The mirror is held to its base by sticky tape, it's possible the tape has failed and it's partly detached. But I'd expect that would be evident from inspection.

Yep, check the glass, mine did the same thing last month, Glass was only held at the very top.
Popped it out and re-glued, good as new.

I had a similar issue with my '05, but the giveaway was the mirror made a rattle when driving over about 30 mph.

Agreed, time for new glass

If it's the debonding, you can fix it. Way cheaper than new glass.

just a little contact cement and 5 min, good as new.
