Will you sell the whole car for $1000? I really just need the engine, instrument cluster, and all the bits to make the engine run. I have a 1.8t B5.5 I want to convert. I don't need the transmission, as mine is 4Mo. But it may be too much of a hassle for you to pick all the bits off I need, and quite frankly I don't even know for sure what all I would need, that's why I'd rather have the whole car. I can come tow it away.

Happy? Yes. But I'd be happier with a TDI.

Plus, I am going to have to do a chain/tensioner changeout on the AWM if I am going to keep it, as it has started to leak quite a bit of oil. That is $500+ in parts alone I'd rather not spend.

But other than that, it does perform just fine as it is.

Need B5.5 Transmission/Controller

Hey Oilhammer,

Assume all is now well for you and you are back in the run for a good 2016.

I have an 2005 B5.5 that has shift issues. Dealer said this is an electronic shift controller....custom part order tied to Vin and $1700 for the part. I have heard of the auto issues before but not read anything on this since about 08-09. Begging my search now and saw your listing.

Please let me know my options. I am open to driving your way (MO?) if you are still in the area.
