I friend of mine has a 2001 VW passat 1.9TDi (AVF engine code).
I have done some work on this car now, and changed a "magnetic vacum valve" that had a bad sealing.
I have logged boost pressure (and more), and everything seems fine.
But there is really a change in acceleration at about 2500 rpm. The car seems to accelerate good before 2500 rpm., and accelerating like the space shuttle after 2500 rpm.
Is it normal for this engine (AVF TDi 1.9, 95KW) that there is a change in acceleration at approx. 2500 rpm. or is something still wrong ?
I also notice that there is a "vacum leak" sound somewhere around the air filter shortly after turning the engine off. The sound goes away gradually after 1-2 min.
