I have a B6 Passat which has been making a rubbing/vibration noise when disengaging the clutch. You can hear the noise slow down and disappear as the engine speed falls and the clutch releases.
It only seems to happen when there's some load still on the clutch, if changing gear super smoothly and coming off the throttle long before, it almost disappears. You can hear it inside the car but it's more noticeable with the windows down.
I've just had the entire clutch/DMF assembly replaced as well as 2/3 of the motor mounts which were both shot. I'm fairly sure the release bearing has been done with the clutch kit. Each job has made things better but the clutch pedal still vibrates and the car shudders slightly when moving off, along with this vibration and noise.
Any ideas?
