Has anybody successfully retrofit the rear or front park sensors on MK7?

Yup, both front and rear, 12 sensors for PLA 2, and now PLA 3...

im debating if its even worth doing this, the only reason I wanted to try is to make my RVC work on my retrofitted MIB2, some poined out this might be related to the absence of park sensors, but looking at the wiring and all of the other headache Im not sure if I want to do this.

It won't "make" your RVC work. The two aren't connected. You could have parking sensors without RVC, and vice versa.

What's wrong with your RVC?

You probably need to fix some adaptations to make it work. Search my name and RVC, I had the same challenge, but figured it out.

I suppose I won't bump that thread... do you have an adaptation map for 5F you can post?

Your issue might be that the MIB is coded for parking sensors, which you don't have. While I would "solve" that issue by retrofitting parking sensors... the more reasonable thing is to change the adaptations, haha.

Plus @Nuje will provide tech support.
If you saw the hatchet-job I did with running the wiring under the dash, you'd run screaming from any offer of my "tech support". :)
(Although....I guess I could offer up what NOT to do.)

But yeah - if the end goal is to get RVC working, you'd be really upset to do all of the work of installing PDC only to find RVC still not working.
(And only then realize that you needed to flip a bit or adaptation somewhere; when my RVC wasn't working after one of my retrofits, it was due to RVC being set to "high", or not set to "high" (or something like that....can't remember the details).

Well, I think the hack of that Preh unit was probably not done correctly. I don't recall if those are now common knowledge, but everything can be found for Delphi units.

Maybe consider getting a Delphi and abandoning this Preh.
