Pano sunroof doesn't open up all the way

I have a 2010 JSW with the panoramic sunroof. Last winter, we had a freezing rain event and somehow my sunroof mechanism broke. It was covered under warranty and I had it replaced. However, I don't think it is opening all the way when I only raise the rear of the panel. I seem to remember being able to slide my hand out of the rear gap, all the way to my wrist/forearm. Now I can barely squeeze my fingers through the gap. Am I imagining things? Can somebody with a '09-'10 JSW confirm how much of a gap they have when the rear of the panel is opened. And I think I recall that the '11 JSW's have more than one setting for this, so they can probably ignore this request.

Gap, as measured at the car's center from the inside, is about 3/4" from rubber gasket to rubber gasket.

Height, as measured at the car's center from the outside, is about 1-1/4" from the roof to the top of the glass.

It's not a large opening.
